Overview
One of your Server Administrators is reporting that they are trying to reset their password but are not receiving the reset email from LM. You would like to know what address LM is using to send the password reset email to your Server Administrator as well as how you can reset the Server Administrator's password if they do not receive the reset email.
Solution
LM sends password reset requests using the email address Lyris-noreply@yourserver.com
, where yourserver.com
is your LM domain when your Server Administrator uses the Forgot Password link. If the email is not received, perform the following checks:
- Ask the Server Administrator to verify that they entered the email address associated with their LM Server Administrator account
- Ask the Server Administrator to verify that the message was not sent to their spam folder
- Have someone from outside your organization use the Reset Password link on your LM site. If other users are able to receive the email from outside your organization, the issue may be that something on your local network is blocking it - resolve this with your IT department
After following these steps the Server Administrator will be able to log on if they are able to receive/locate the reset password email. If the Server Administrator is still unable to get their password reset after these steps you can Reset a Server Administrator's Password in LM or Reset a Server Administrator's Password in the Database.
